American Indian Youth Program

Summer of 2008 - Our American Indian Youth Program kicks off its inaugural year. Youth will be able to write essays as to why they want to participate in the Mustang program at 3-Strikes Ranch, and those that show the most interest and write the best essays will be chosen first. Approximately ten trainees at a time will be chosen. Young "Three-Striker" Mustangs that were shipped by the Bureau of Land Management to the ranch, are waiting to be paired up with a trainee. The goal will be that trainees will learn to work with their horses and have a real sense of accomplishment and partnership with these Living Legends. The program is designed to keep the youth focused on positive things in life and help them make a difference in the life of a horse, too.
